Camp West Sound fills the days with creative play, friendships, and laughter on the beautiful and safe 20-acre campus of West Sound Academy in Poulsbo. From fun-in-the-sun nature hikes and gardening to indoor keyboarding and cultural enrichment, activities are designed to boost summer retention in math and reading as kids lose themselves in their play and good times.

Twin Lakes 4-H Camp was established in 1956 and has been serving 4-H youth throughout Kitsap County. Twin Lakes 4-H Camp is open to all youth, 4-H or not to experience a true rustic camp, no cabins but bring your own tent, no electricity as we are powered by a generator during the day. We are a 5 day, 4 night camp.

Tuesday, June 5 - Solar Eclipse

At 3:05:50 p.m. June 5 Venus begins its transit across the face of the Sun. At 5:27 the planet will be half-way across, and by sunset at 9:04 p.m., will have nearly completed its journey. A Venus transit will not happen again until December 11, 2117. BPAA is inviting the public to watch this event through solar telescopes, weather permitting. Astronomers will be on hand. Remember: Never look at the Sun directly.

Fall soccer is open to all boys and girls living in Kitsap County and on Bainbridge Island. Professional Coaching Staff train players and coaches to ensure a safe, fun, friendly and educational environment.  BIFC promotes the love of the game of soccer by providing quality training and the appropriate competition for all ages and abilities in a safe and supportive environment, while developing the highest standards of player growth.

Friday, June 21 - Pacific Planitarium Third Friday Astronomy Talk

Welcome to Earth! Explore the family friendly astronomy exhibits after the show in the Exhibition Hall and talk with an amateur astronomer from the Olympic Astronomical Society. Every month on the Third Friday, the Pacific Planetarium hosts special topics about the Earth and space in its 28 seat dome. This is the big-brother of our First Friday talks where we spend 40-50 minutes discussing various advanced topics in astronomy.

Do you like to solve mysteries?  Looking for something fun to do with the kids? Get your clue packets, interview the suspects, and gather the clues to solve a mystery.  Check out the market faire, participate in the landlubber derby dinghy race,enter into the costume contests – prizes for adults, kids and pets! There will be a kid’s story time at the Library, a kid pirate zone filled with games and fun, and a free movie at the Dragonfly Cinema!

Sunday, May 27 - IslandWood Public Site Tour

There's a lot of beauty to be seen in the buildings and along our trails during a Sunday afternoon site tour. Our trained docents are ready to take you around! The walk will include an opportunity to see our bog, cattail marsh, pond, beautiful forest and ravine. You will also learn about the various sustainable elements of the buildings as well as our educational programs.

Coming to stage with song and dance is Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Show times are:

Saturday, May 25 through Sunday, May 26 - Kitsap Harbor Festival!

Events will take place on the waterfronts of both Bremerton and Port Orchard and will include, Vendor Booths, Farmers Markets, Classic Car Show, Seagull Calling Festival and Wings Cook-Off, Murder Mystery Weekend and Pirate’s Ball, Sailing Regatta, Pancake Breakfasts, 5-mile Foot Race, Live Music, Beer Gardens, and more.

How: Foot-ferry service between Bremerton and Port Orchard will be available for those without boats!

Saturday, May 25 - Gig Harbor Street Scramble

The Gig Harbor Street Scramble is a “treasure hunt” through-out the community directing participants to 30 locations on a map. Participants choose to do the event in either 90 minutes or three hours on foot or bike, individually or as a team.

One of the most funny festivals in Puget Sound! Flock to the Port Orchard Waterfront Marina Park and call the seagulls by mimicking their cry!

Monday, May 27 - CRISTA Camps Military Appreciation Day

We would like to invite all who are serving, or have served, in the Armed Forces and their families to join us for a day at camp. This event is free, our way of saying thank you for all you do. Enjoy a picnic lunch or dinner. Camp activities will be available for you to enjoy during the afternoon, including waterfront, boating, paintball, moto-x, ropes course, skate park, disc golf, bouldering wall, and field games.

Who: Military and their families
How: Drop by! There will be sign ups available for moto-x, paintball, and the ropes course. Just show up at Island Lake on Monday the 27th - 11am-7pm. Waivers and valid military ID needed.

Pettals & Petticoats a new children’s boutique has opened in Port Orchard. This posh little boutique offers formal ware for girls and boys, accessories, and gifts. What makes this little shop unique is their party room that’s perfect for fashion shows and tea parties. Reservations for parties can be made via The Perfect Place. (360-473-8525)
To learn more about the boutique and their party room come join Macaroni Kid & The Perfect Place for an Open House on Wednesday May 23rd from 10AM -12PM. We’ll have snacks, crafts, henna and glitter (small fee) by Red Sprial Henna, photographs by Happy Monday Photography & dress up fun!
