The Bremerton Bug Museum has just gotten more fun and educational! August 1st they are opening the Reptile Room. This is also FREE to explore, just like the Bug Museum. See fascinating LIVE reptiles from around the world UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL and learn about them. Meet Stella their 9-foot python, Cecil their 50-pound Sulcata Tortoise, and Blueper the 2-foot long Blue Tongue skink! See elephant-nosed turtles, citrus dragons, spotted lizards, tree frogs as tiny as a fingernail and other reptiles you have to see to believe. Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays their reptile handler Chris has some of these fascinating creatures out for you to get a really close look at and touch. Adding to the hugely popular Touch-a-Bug workshops, they will also offer fun hands-on Reptile Classes for kids.
The Bug Museum also offers Bug Art Classes, Butterflies and Bugs Classes, and Group Field trips. Make sure to check out our website and follow us on Facebook for their latest events and specials.
The Bug Museum allows kids an interactive way to experience everything related to bugs; whether it is watching the live bugs on display, exploring bizarre bugs under a microscope, looking through glasses that let you see like a bug, or even watching the busy ants in the giant 8 foot long Ant Farm! The Bug Museum is a great way to foster your child’s interest in nature. Make sure to try on glasses to see the world through bugs eyes, or look at a scorpion tail under a microscope. They offer a fun and safe environment for kids to learn about everything related to bugs, and now reptiles!
