Poulsbo Kids Day was created to bring the community together for a good time and a good cause. Families are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items to the local Food for Thought program, a partnership of North Kitsap Fishline, Costco, and Wal-Mart. Food for Thought provides healthy meals for children on the weekend, a time when many of them go without proper nourishment. Donations to Food for Thought may also be made at the Poulsbo branch of 1st Security Bank at any time.

“The children of our communities are the most important assets we have. Their health and safety need to be one of our first concerns,” said Margaret Bradshaw, Poulsbo branch manager. “1st Security Bank is delighted to help sponsor this annual community event.”
