Tackle Germs AND the Mess with New Purell Hand Sanitizing Wipes

Like most families who live in Kitsap, we go to the beach. A lot. Especially in the summer. The kids love to play in the sand and build castles and fairy houses. But when it comes time to taking a break and eating our picnic lunch, I’m always at a loss for how to get them cleaned up to hold their sandwiches in their grubby mitts without the PB&J becoming a SANDY-wich. Ewww! Few things ruin a meal more than biting down on grains of sand.

Thanks to Purell, my problem has been solved!

I recently discovered Purell’s Advanced Sanitizing Wipes that help remove dirt and eliminate germs. Last weekend, I shared them with friends and family at a Macaroni Kid Kitsap Summer Fun preview party.

Since learning about these incredible cleaner-uppers, beyond the beach I’ve found them handy and useful on so many different occasions. So did the moms (and dads) at the party who were eager to wipe off their kids’ hands of dirt, marker, glue, and dog hair before letting them handle a grilled hot dog and baby carrots. (The wipes were great for wiping just-applied sunscreen off the adult's hands, too!)

The parents agreed with me: Purell Advanced Sanitizing Wipes are the perfect way to clean and kill germs on kids’ hands when you can’t get them to soap and water. Plus, the wipes are convenient. They are available in canisters and also in 15-count packs that are great for the diaper bag, stroller, backpack, lunchbox, boat, glove box, or purse.

We’re on the go a lot with sports and activities, so it’s common for us – as it is for many families – to not be near soap, water, and a sink. Purell Advanced Sanitizing Wipes are perfect for the beach, birthday parties, summer vacations in the car or on the airplane, fishing trips, or any day after playing with clay, pastels, markers, and paints.

Purell Advanced Sanitizing Wipes are extra soft and leave hands feeling soft, too. Plus, they’re safe for hands and face. And we all know how messy kids’ faces can get!

After trying the wipes, parents also told me that the wipes will give them peace of mind knowing that they can keep their kids clean and germ-free during life’s messier and most memorable moments.

It means a lot to parents like us who want to celebrate all of the creative experiences that kids have while wiping away the dirt but not the curiosity.

When there isn’t a mess to get rid of but when we only need to eliminate germs, Purell Advanced Hand Sanitizer in an 8 oz. pump on the counter or a 2 oz. pump in the car or my bag will always be the way to go.

But when we need to wipe away dirt (or sand!), too, I’m glad that Purell Advanced Sanitizing Wipes will be there!

Key Moments for Good Hand Hygiene:

Important steps for good hand hygiene are to wash or sanitize your hands with an alcohol-based hand sanitizer at key moments such as:

• Before and after preparing food;

• Before eating;

• After using the bathroom;

• After sneezing or coughing; and

• After touching anything that is in a high traffic area, that may have been touched by many different hands, such as playground equipment, cafeteria trays or drinking fountains
