Bremerton Community Farmers Market's FREE Kids Market Bucks Club is aimed at teaching local kids about the importance of their food choices, how to maintain a healthy lifestyle, and the value of money.
Every first Thursday of each month May through September, kids ages 3–12 years old can join the Kids Market Bucks Club. The club runs during normal market hours, 4pm–7pm at Evergreen Rotary Park. All the dates will be on Macaroni Kid Kitsap's website calendar and free weekly eNewsletter so you don't miss them!
How it works:
Kids visit theKids Tent with a parent or guardian and complete an activity. Once the activity has been completed, the child will get a stamp in their Kids Market Club Passport and receive $4 to spend on fresh fruits, veggies, and edible plant starts. Kids who complete all of the monthly activities will receive a special reward at the end of the season. Passports will be kept at the market so participants don’t have to remember to bring them back each week. Each child is eligible for $4/month.
The Bremerton Farmers Market’s Kids Market Bucks programs purpose is to educate and encourage children to take part in their local food system, meet the farmers that grow their food, and understand the benefits of eating healthy, nutritious foods.
