Families across Kitsap County are invited to embark on a joyful, literacy-filled journey this summer with the Kitsap County Reading Trail—a free, self-paced reading adventure that celebrates books, community, and connection.
Running from July 25 to August 25, 2025, this local family-friendly event encourages kids (and grownups!) to explore featured children's books at local businesses and community spaces throughout North, Central, and South Kitsap. It’s the perfect way to spark a love of reading while supporting the amazing small businesses and organizations that make our community shine. This event is FREE to participate in and perfect for summer break fun!

Getting started is easy—and fun for all ages!
- Grab a Trail Tracker
Pick one up at any participating trail stop or download a printable version from PagingMyReaders.com. - Visit Trail Stops
Plan your adventure by region—North, Central, or South Kitsap—and visit as many stops as you’d like. - Read & Enjoy
At each stop, you’ll find a featured children’s book to read right there onsite. Books stay at each location for all to enjoy. - Track Your Progress
Mark your Trail Tracker after each visit to record your journey. - Earn Prizes
Visit 20 or more stops and you’ll be entered to win fantastic prizes donated by generous local sponsors! - Submit Your Tracker
Finished your adventure? Submit your completed tracker via the QR code on the form by August 31, 2025.
