In three years of Summer Camp Guides, this is our BIGGEST summer camp listing ever! There are a huge variety of camps offered in the community to suit a large vareity of ages and interests. Toddlers to teens - and everyone in between - will find something they'll want to register for.

Silverwood Summerfest


Ages: Entering Preschool - 6th Grade

Summertime at Silverwood School is a wonderful place for learning and fun. Our beautiful and safe 18-acre campus is a natural wonderland in which your child will flourish. We are offering a full summer of educational activities as well as extended hours for before and after care. Summer campers entering grades pre-school through sixth grade will enjoy a wealth of activities including sports, gardening, art, music, science, cooking, computer skills, creative writing, drama, and more!

Each day is divided into two themed activities. The morning session is from 9:00am to 12:00pm, followed by a lunch break and then the afternoon session from 12:30pm to 3:30pm. Each session follows a theme with art projects, games, and of course lots of gymnastics fun!  Kids will get to Travel through Space, be a Pirate, learn about Aliens, and Travel Under the Sea!

Spectrum Summer Sing! (A Choir Day Camp)

   Twin Lakes 4-H Camp was established in 1956 and has been serving 4-H youth throughout Kitsap County. Twin Lakes 4-H Camp is open to all youth, 4-H or not to experience a true rustic camp, no cabins but bring your own tent, no electricity as we are powered by a generator during the day. Monday, May 20 through Thursday, June 6 - Tracking the Thunderbird game

Kitsap County’s Parks Department's environmental game, "Tracking the Thunderbird" is a great way to learn about the water cycle while solving clues that take you to several locations where the mythological Thunderbird has left a “Track”.
Where: In the community!
When: A new clue is release on the first Friday of every month
Who: All Ages! This game is ideal for families, schools, scout groups and more.
How: Get a small binder or folder to store all of the clues. As they become available, print the clues out and study them. When you think you know where the track is, go to the park and sketch or take a picture of the thunderbird track on the blank pages. At the end of the program, prove you found all 9 Thunderbird tracks and get a souvenir!

Kitsap Live Steamers is a group of scale outdoor railroad enthusiasts operating a non-profit 7 1/2 inch gauge railroad at South Kitsap Regional Park. This facility has given the community and the Puget Sound area a unique educational and recreational opportunity that is not otherwise available nearby.

Clear Creek Trail is hosting a beach seining.  What sea life is living off the shores of Dyes Inlet?  Come find out by helping to pull in a 100 foot net, counting and measuring the "catch", and then releasing it after a discussion on what was caught and what it means. Beach seinings help collect data on what kinds of animals are living along the shoreline.
