With Mardi Gras coming up on March 8th, I thought this would be the perfect time to bring out the traditional craft of making a Mardi Gras Mask! Fun for all ages! My youngest daughter Haley had a blast creating her very own colorful Mask! And it was Super easy! Your kids are sure to love this too!
Let your Creativity Flow with this great Craft Idea for the kids! Celebrate Mardi Gras with their very own Mask!
Here is what you need:
- Paper Plate
- Scissors
- Glue
- Markers/ Crayons
- Feathers/ sequins/ Pom-poms/ glitter glue-Anything for decorating
- Popsicle Stick
Now put it all together! Depending on the age of your child, you may want to help them out with these first few steps!
Cut the paper plate in half. Then cut out eye holes for your child.
Decorate - Decorate - Decorate the Mask! Decorate your paper plate mask with stickers, markers, glitter glue, feathers, fabric and whatever else you can find! Let your child have fun with this part.
Once everything has dried, then it is time to attach the popsicle stick to the mask! You can glue the stick to the back of the mask or you can use tape!
And last but not least! Have yourself a Mardi Gras Party!
