What is Montessori education?
Montessori education is a child-centered, self-paced philosophy. The classroom materials and methodology were created by Italian physician Maria Montessori in the early 20th century. Montessori believed that human beings are born with a drive to learn and that children are much more capable than adults often realize. The methodology is based on child development and is research proven. Montessori classrooms are joyful, autonomous communities which empower children to follow their interests while also exploring traditional subjects such as reading and math.

HMS Tracyton is a private non-profit preschool/kindergarten community opening that recently opened in January of 2022 with 6 students and have grown to 45!
We have 3 classrooms and room to grow a 4th! We offer extended before and after-school care in addition to our full-day class sessions. All of our lead teachers hold Montessori credentials for early childhood education (ages 3-6). We are a community dedicated to our school's values of inclusivity, optimism, respect, connection, and integrity. At HMS Tracyton, everyone is welcome.
