KCMT invites the Kitsap community to join us for their 50th production, SHREK the Musical. Based on the story and characters from William Steig’s book Shrek! and the Oscar®-winning DreamWorks Animations feature film, this show is an epic theatrical experience for all ages.
Join Shrek, our unlikely hero, and his noble steed Donkey as they set off on a quest to rescue Princess Fiona from a tower being guarded by a love-sick dragon. Add the vertically challenged Lord Farquaad, a gingerbread cookie with enormous attitude, and an entire gang of fairytale misfits, and you’ve got an irresistible mix of adventure, laughter and romance the whole family will enjoy.
“In addition to being hilarious and uplifting – things we all need more of, SHREK The Musical reminds us all to be ourselves and let our ‘Freak Flag Fly,’” says Director and KCMT founder Kerby Criss. “The show and our talented cast are a reflection of our ‘Big Bright Beautiful World,’ and it is the perfect way to celebrate our 50th show together.”

Kitsap Children’s Musical Theatre (KCMT) is a 501(c)(3) production company for youth ages 8-18. Run entirely by parent volunteers, teen interns and adult mentors, KCMT has been awarded Organization of the Year by Poulsbo’s Chamber of Commerce and voted Best of North Kitsap by readers of the North Kitsap Herald. KCMT’s mission is to provide opportunities for youth in developing life skills, character, and musical theatre excellence through the experience of Broadway-style production.
