Kitsap’s favorite family-friendly day of fun is just around the corner, and you still have time to register! PetsWALK – benefiting Kitsap Humane Society – is a 5K walk/run through beautiful downtown Poulsbo, but it’s so much more. It’s a stroll with a waterfront view. It’s a vendor fair with dozens of booths and food trucks. It’s a festival of live music, games, and contests. And it’s a chance to see more dogs in one place than you can possibly imagine.

The KHS Animal Care Team will be making the rounds with a few of our gorgeous adoptable pets. Get a photo with them, post it on Facebook with the tag #PetsWalk2024, and you could win a Kitsap Humane Society sweatshirt!
Pet a puppy or two (or three)
Dogs of all kinds, shapes, and sizes come to PetsWALK every year. Big dogs, tiny dogs, old dogs, young dogs, dogs with three-legs, dogs in wagons, and every other kind of doggo there is. Come and see them all!
Pets wearing costumes!
Will there be a costume contest? Yes! A talent show? You bet! Pets wearing silly hats and skirts and sunglasses? Of course! And just wait until the “best wiggle-butt” competition!
Vendors galore!
There’s booths with t-shirts and jewelry, handmade soap and stained glass, ceramics and toys! Food vendors with ice cream, tacos, and authentic Italian ice! And – get this – a Star Trek fans booth, showing off their screen-accurate costumes and props!
Dancing, games, and more!
Live music at Muriel Iverson Williams Waterfront Park? Check. Games and free giveaways? Check. Adorable animals up for adoption. Check, check, and check.
