Puget Sound Navy Museum: Weekly "Set S.A.I.L. Fridays" Family Program

Get Ready to Set S.A.I.L. on Fridays this Summer! Navigate a full schedule of Science, Art, and Interactive Learning (S.A.I.L.) activities at Puget Sound Navy Museum (PSNM). Drop-in (with a parent/guardian) between 10am-2pm every Friday between 4th of July and Labor Day to participate in this FREE family program. 

Explore a new topic each week, including robotics, circuitry, engineering design, and more! Activities are appropriate for learners of all ages (kids under 7-years will likely need the help of an adult or older child).*

  • July 5 – Alka Seltzer Rockets
  • July 12 – Robotics
  • July 19 – Ocean Zones UPDATED: Sequencing and BlueBots Robots
  • July 26 – Soap Scrimshaw
  • Aug. 2 – 3D Printing
  • Aug. 9 – Paper Circuits
  • Aug. 16 – Molding and Casting
  • Aug. 23 – Periscopes
  • Aug. 30 – Robotics

The Puget Sound Navy Museum (PSNM) collects, preserves, and interprets the naval heritage of the Pacific Northwest for the benefit of the U.S. Navy and you – the public! The Museum is open daily 10am-4pm (closed Tuesdays) and is ALWAYS FREE.

Make a day of your time Downtown if the weather is nice, PSNM is adjacent to the Harborside Fountain Park. Many families bring a picnic, splash in the fountains, make a fun project, and tour the Museum!

PARKING NOTE: The Puget Sound Navy Museum does not have a parking lot. There is free street parking on the blocks around the Museum as well as hourly paid garages under the Hampton Inn and at the corner of Burwell & Pacific.
